Oncologist / Hematologist

Role Overview:
In this vital position, you will see all oncology and hematology patients, participate in hospitalist rotations, and attend tumor boards, ensuring comprehensive and coordinated care. The role involves managing inpatient and outpatient cases, on-call duties, and engaging with a dedicated team of providers dedicated to excellence in cancer treatment. With a strong community presence and a commitment to quality, Broome Oncology offers a fulfilling environment for physicians passionate about making a difference. Required Skills and Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible with plans to sit for certification within 3 years
- Proficiency in CPT and ICD-10 coding
- Ability to see all oncology and hematology cases without disease specialization
- Flexibility for hospitalist rotations, weekend calls, and participation in tumor boards
- Commitment to patient-centered, high-quality care
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary oncology setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and oncology-specific software
- Completion of an accredited residency and fellowship in Oncology and Hematology
- Experience managing inpatient and outpatient oncology patients
- Prior involvement in community health initiatives
- US medical licensing and certification standards
- Willingness to participate in community events to promote cancer awareness and survivorship
- The salary range for the Oncologist / Hematologist position is $450,000 or more, depending on experience (DOE).
- The role offers a partnership track approximately after three years, along with comprehensive employer-paid benefits including retirement plans, health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, and voluntary benefits.
