Duties Description Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Administer on-premises Microsoft Exchange Servers.- Administer O365 email.- Support Active Directory and domain controllers.- Support multi-factor authentication.- Administer Single-Sign On using Entra-ID.- Fulfill work orders and incident resolution.- Server OS and exchange patching, vulnerability remediation and compliance checks.- Support disaster recovery.- Support RHEL and Windows servers.

Minimum Qualifications For appointment via NY HELPs:- Bachelor's or higher-level degree including or supplemented by 15 semester credit hours in computer science; OR- Bachelor's or higher-level degree in any field AND one year of experience in information technology; OR- 60 semester credit hours including or supplemented by 15 semester credit hours in computer science AND one year of experience in information technology; OR- Two years of experience in information technology.Note: Certain math and business courses, although taken as part of a computer science curriculum, are not counted towards the 15 semester credit hours. For competitive appointment:- List appointment: Reachable on current Civil Service eligible list for this title.- Transfer: Current New York State employee with one year of permanent competitive class service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 52.6 of Civil Service Law. Appointments via transfer must not result in a second, consecutive transfer with an advancement of more than two S-grades. Eligible titles include, but are not limited to: Business Systems Analyst 1, Administrative Specialist 1, Contract Management Specialist 1.- Reinstatement: Candidates who have held Information Technology Specialist 2 title, or a transferable title, may be eligible for consideration for reinstatement.
