Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Scheduling Coordinator to create, maintain, and adjust daily and weekly schedules for our technicians or field crews. This role involves coordinating job assignments based on availability, skill set, job priority, and location while understanding work orders and effectively communicating schedules to field teams and supervisors.

Understand work orders and communicate schedules clearly to field teams and supervisors via scheduling systems.

Respond quickly to last-minute changes such as call-outs, equipment issues, weather delays, or urgent jobs.

Track job progress and update schedules as work is completed or delayed.

Confirm materials, equipment, and manpower are in place before scheduled jobs begin.

Maintain accurate scheduling records, work orders, and daily reports.

Serve as a go-to problem solver when schedules break down or priorities shift.

Utilize Google Maps to coordinate better routes for drivers and technicians.
Essential Skills

Experience in scheduling and customer service.

Ability to schedule appointments and dispatch effectively.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling software.

Prior experience in a blue-collar environment such as construction, maintenance, utilities, HVAC, or field services.

Strong understanding of how field operations function.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to work comfortably with hourly workers, supervisors, and management.

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple schedules simultaneously.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

Basic computer skills including Outlook, Excel, and Google Maps.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in a blue-collar environment such as construction, maintenance, utilities, HVAC, or field services.
Work Environment
The role is based in an office environment with a team of about 10 people. Working hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The Scheduling Coordinator will report to the fire alarm service manager and will be part of a dynamic team addressing urgent needs as they arise.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brentwood, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
