Job Summary
We are seeking a Purchasing/Inventory Control Specialist to join our team! As a Purchasing/Inventory Control Specialist, you will be working with multiple departments to determine their supply needs, create and receive purchase orders, place orders while managing and maintaining accurate inventory levels, ensuring efficient supply chain operations, and optimizing inventory processes. The ideal candidate has strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to multitask and shift priorities as needed.
Responsibilities
- Take supply requests from departments, determining need
- Place orders, follow up on delays, and maintain strong working relationships with vendors
- Maintain accurate inventory levels, ordering an appropriate amount of product before it is at critical levels
- Evaluate offers from multiple vendors, determining the best place to order based on price and quality, conducting research as necessary to find an appropriate supplier
- Manage vendor contracts, as needed
- Create and receive purchase orders
- Monitor pricing changes
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar position desired
- Strong computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
- Previous experience with Spruce is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to multitask and shift priorities, as needed
