Impact Recruiting Solutions is currently seeking a CAT Scan Technologist to fill an opening with an Article 28 facility located in Brooklyn, New York.

Responsibilities of the CAT Scan Technologist:

• Patient Assessment: Performing initial patient assessments, taking vital signs, and obtaining medical histories to prepare them for the scan.
• Patient Positioning: Accurately positioning patients for the procedure to ensure optimal image quality and patient comfort.
• Patient Education: Explaining the CT scan procedure and answering patient questions to alleviate anxiety and ensure cooperation.
• Contrast Administration: Administering contrast agents to enhance image detail, which may involve venipuncture.
• Patient Monitoring: Continuously monitoring patient condition and safety during the scanning process, and assisting in emergencies if necessary.

Technical Operations

• Equipment Operation: Operating and maintaining complex CT scanning equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Image Analysis: Reviewing and analyzing images for technical quality and accuracy, making adjustments as needed.
• Equipment Maintenance: Performing routine checks and maintenance on the CT scanner to ensure it is in proper working order.

Safety and Quality Assurance

• Radiation Safety: Strictly adhering to established radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure for both patients and staff.
• Image Quality Control: Adjusting scan parameters and performing quality assurance tests to ensure the accuracy and optimal performance of the equipment.
• Infection Control: Maintaining sterile techniques and ensuring proper infection control measures in the work environment.

Requirements

• Must have an active NY State License
• Must have experience as an CAT Scan Technologist

Benefits

• The salary for this position is$50 - $55 / hr
• This is a Full-time or a Part-time position
