Quality Control Tool Room Coordinator

Precipart, located in Farmingdale, NY, has an entry level opening for Tool Room Coordinator , who is responsible for efficiently maintaining all tooling used in our machining equipment, ensuring that our machining operations run smoothly, efficiently, and with the highest quality standards. They are responsible for maintaining tooling inventory in a clean and organized environment, inspecting and ordering replacements. This is a great opportunity for an individual who is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working collaboratively with various teams within the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all tooling related to machine shop equipment in a clean environment and orderly fashion for ease of access.
• Update database with tooling information and accurately label tools.
• Monitor tool usage by creating tickets for tracking tool distribution to identify last out.
• Inspect tools to identify any damage or fraying before distribution.
• Provide damaged and frayed tools to Quality Department for repair or re-order.
• Take email orders of tools and prepare items for pickup in a timely manner.
• Discard old tools and create purchase order to order replacement tooling.
• Track ordered tools using a database system to maintain stock quantity.
• Responsible for conforming with the company's quality management system requirements, as well as contributing to its overall effectiveness, and the ultimate goals of customer satisfaction, product compliance and ethical practices/behavior.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / EDUCATION

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of working experience
• Demonstrates dependability
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and record-keeping skills
• Ability to work independently
• Must have intermediate experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Strong organizational skill and attention to detail.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / EDUCATION

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Understanding of quality inspections
• Understanding of the calibration procedure
• Technical training or certification

Pay Range: $17.00 to 19.00 an hour
