CT Technologist Job Details

• Location: Rochester, NY 14642 – A leading destination for New York healthcare professionals, known for its beautiful parks, diverse dining, and rich arts scene.
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital – Level 1 Trauma Center
• Employment Type: Travel (Locum Tenens CT Technologist)
• Contract Duration: 17 weeks (September 29, 2025 – January 24, 2026)
• Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 8:00pm – 6:30am EST (overnight weekday shifts); includes holidays, on-call, and callback as needed
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2700-$2770

CT Technologist Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
• Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Active New York State CT Technologist license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience in a hospital or trauma center
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• At least 6 months of experience with Siemens CT scanners
• 1 year of Epic EMR experience preferred
• Injection certification preferred (or willingness to complete during orientation)
• Knowledge of Philips and Siemens imaging equipment preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach to clinical care
• Collaborative team player with ability to maintain a positive healthcare environment

CT Technologist Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and exam details prior to scans, ensuring compliance with hospital safety protocols
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging
• Prepare and position patients for CT scans, explaining procedures to ensure comfort and understanding
• Insert IVs as needed for contrast studies and imaging procedures
• Safely assist and position patients, including those with limited mobility
• Accurately document patient information and scan details in Epic EMR and ensure proper image transfer to PACS system
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized scanning facility in accordance with hospital standards
• Participate in holiday, on-call, and callback shifts as required by the healthcare unit
