Hecker Fink LLP is seeking a Recruiting Manager who will report to the firm’s Senior Director of Recruiting. This position will be instrumental in helping to support the firm’s legal and business operations recruiting processes and providing a positive and consistent experience for candidates and key stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Senior Director to develop and maintain a robust recruiting strategy in alignment with the Firm’s strategic goals, objectives and initiatives.
  • Conduct market research and monitor current trends and innovations in strategic recruitment practices. Make recommendations and assist with the implementation of new processes and policies to ensure the Firm is meeting its hiring objectives and targets.
  • Develop and maintain recruiting reporting/metrics and conduct ongoing analysis to identify trends and strategically inform future recruiting initiatives.
  • Serve as a Firm representative in developing relationships with recruiters.Effectively communicate hiring priorities and timely feedback to identify desirable candidates.
  • Support all aspects of the law students, staff, judicial clerks and lateral recruitment life cycle from developing draft job descriptions, processing candidate materials, scheduling interviews, collecting feedback, drafting offer letters and assisting with offer extension and follow up.
  • Lead the planning and execution of the Firm’s on campus recruitment efforts including law school outreach, callback scheduling and interview process, coordinating travel and drafting offer letters.
  • Collaborate with the Recruiting Team to help design and manage all aspects of the Firm’s Summer Associate Program including, pre-arrival processes and communications, work assignments, and social/community service events.
  • Maintain and update applicant tracking system. Compile and analyze recruiting statistics to assist with the preparation of recruiting reports and updates.
  • Assist the Senior Director with both preparing and monitoring recruiting budgets.
  • Other responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a combination of employment, educational, and life experience that demonstrates the qualities and skills below:

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree and at least 5-6 years’ relevant experience and 1-2 years’ team management experience in a law firm required.
  • Knowledge and Skills: You have a solid understanding of applicant tracking software platforms. You have advanced knowledge and use of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Clear Communication and Attention to Detail: You express yourself clearly and concisely and you proactively communicate the status of your work. You have excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ownership, Initiative, and Teamwork: You are a dedicated self-starter who takes ownership of your projects and follows through on their completion. You proactively anticipate, communicate, and work to independently and resourcefully to resolve obstacles you encounter in your work. You possess a strong customer-service orientation and ability to work well within a team as well independently.
  • Organization and Project Management: You are comfortable balancing tasks of varying levels of urgency and complexity. You work well under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility: You are flexible to be available after hours and to work overtime as needed. You are comfortable in an environment where your responsibilities may vary from day to day. You demonstrate a "no job too big, no job too small" attitude, and take a collaborative, team-focused approach to rejuggling priorities and contributing to tasks across the Firm.
  • Confidentiality: You must be able to adhere to Firm policies regarding the protection of confidential data and demonstrate sensitivity to (and good judgment in connection with) confidential attorney, personnel, and Firm matters.

In addition, the successful candidate will be based in the New York or Washington DC area and will be available to work 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. This is a hybrid position.

Compensation: The expected base salary for this role ranges from $130,000 - $150,000 and is dependent on experience.
