SUNY Orange is seeking a part-time Multi-Media Specialist. The Multimedia Specialist is an integral part of the Division of Learning and Student Success' Academic Technology department and tasked with providing multimedia services, assistance, training and support to faculty for the development of instructional media. The Multi-Media Specialist will provide photography, audio, video and digital production services for the College, as needed, as well as provide faculty and student support of the college's learning management system in conjunction with the Academic Technology staff.
this job offer may require traveling between the Middletown and Newburgh campuses, as well as off campus sites. Work during some evenings and weekends may be required.
General Requirements:
Education Required: Associate's degree
practice Required: Working expertise of media production software and equipment
Preferred expertise, expertise, Abilities and Worker Characteristics:
»Associate's degree or higher in Multi-Media, Media Production, Communication, or significant field
» practice in a higher education environment
» expertise or practice with Education Learning Management Systems
»Photography, video and multimedia production practice
» practice or expertise of Education Learning Management Systems
»Familiarity with the use of Open Educational Resources in Education
» practice in the development of creative visual, media and web-located content
» practice with captioning software
»Competency using emerging technologies in media production and web content
»Demonstrated design and computer expertise in graphic, media, and web environments
» capability to manage multiple projects and project contributors while adhering to deadlines
»Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication expertise in a diverse population
» capability to work independently or collaborate in a team environment

income: $22 per hour for no more than 20 hours per week
This is a grant-funded position and is contingent upon the continued availcapability of grant funding.
