Senior financial analyst lead

Job Description

The Senior Financial Analyst plays a critical role in driving strategic financial initiatives and enabling data-driven decision-making across Atlas Air. This role is central to maximizing the capabilities of the Anaplan platform, supporting advanced modeling, forecasting, and reporting efforts. The analyst will collaborate with finance and business teams to design and optimize complex Anaplan models, integrate data from multiple systems, and ensure model integrity. They will develop financial models to support key investments and strategic initiatives, perform scenario and sensitivity analyses, and deliver actionable insights through dashboards and presentations. The position also partners closely with the Value Creation Office and cross-functional teams to validate cost savings and track performance. With visibility across the organization and direct engagement with senior leadership, this role contributes meaningfully to long-term strategy and business growth.

Responsibilities:

-Collaborate on the design, build, and optimization of complex, multi-dimensional Anaplan models for planning, budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis

-Maintain data hierarchies, manage data hubs, and ensure model health and integrity

-Develop and manage data integration pipelines between Anaplan and source systems

-Monitor and validate data workflows to ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability

-Build advanced financial models for strategic initiatives, including scenario and sensitivity analyses

-Partner with the Value Creation Office and cross-functional teams to validate cost savings and track performance

-Provide financial insights to support cross-departmental initiatives and long-term strategy

-Prepare dashboards, detailed reports, and board-level presentations for senior leadership

Skills and Requirements

-Anaplan Level 3 Model Builder certification or equivalent experience

-Advanced Excel (VBA/macros), SQL, and ERP systems (JD Edwards, SAP, Oracle)

-Strong financial modeling and analytical skills

-Airline industry experience -Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
