Salary Range: $35,000–$40,000 annually
Reports to: Community Wellness Director
Job Description
The Community Wellness Program Assistant works closely with the Community Wellness Director, supports the day-to-day operations, scheduling, and coordination of the YWCA’s Community Wellness Programs. The Program Assistant will ensure smooth program operations and a welcoming experience for members.
Key Responsibilities
Program Coordination & Scheduling
- Coordinate schedules for wellness staff and independent contractors in collaboration with the Community Wellness Director.
- Keep daily communication with the front desk to ensure accurate program information and coverage.
- Assist with program logistics to support efficient use of space, time, and resources.
Program Support & Implementation
- Support the planning and delivery of community wellness programs on land and in the pool for all ages.
- Support instructors and facilitators with program setup, materials, and participant needs.
Member Experience & Community Engagement
- Provide excellent customer service and foster positive relationships with YWCA members and program participants.
- Serve as a representative of the agency by partnering in community outreach events, helping to raise awareness of the Wellness Program.
Operations & Safety
· Inspect all equipment regularly by keeping an inventory in the weight room, gymnasium, multipurpose room, wellness room, and pool area.
- Follow established safety plans, policies, and procedures to support a safe and inclusive environment.
Mission & Professionalism
· Provide positive support for YWCA members and guests with a focus on overall health and well-being, the new Wellness Program which includes mental, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual health.
- Perform other related duties as assigned in support of the Community Wellness Department.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or 2 years of experience in related field preferred.
Minimum of one-year supervisory experience preferred.
Strong organizational/multitasking skills.
Effective communication skills and attention to detail are a must.
Proficiency with office projects, problem-solving, and leadership.
CPR Certification preferred.
