Porter Supervisor
Markette is is seeking a dedicated and experienced Porter Supervisor to join our team. This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization, and enjoys leading and developing a team. As we continue to grow, there is significant opportunity for advancement, including the potential for this role to transition into a salaried management position.
What We're Looking For- Previous experience supervising teams in hospitality, facilities, housekeeping, or a related field preferred
- Ability to effectively manage and motivate a team of 6–7 porters
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to maintain and enforce cleanliness standards and schedules
- Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or move up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work a schedule of 40–45 hours per week, including weekends and holidays as needed
- Supervise and support a team of 6–7 porters across daily operations
- Lead by example and maintain a strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Oversee and maintain all porter cleaning schedules to ensure completion of daily, weekly, and monthly tasks
- Ensure porter stations, storage areas, and workspaces remain clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain company cleanliness and operational standards
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training new porter team members
- Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and support to the porter team
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellence
- Communicate staffing needs and operational updates with management
- Ensure all safety procedures and company policies are followed consistently
