Employer: Empire State Mines, LLCPosition Location: Gouverneur, New YorkPosition: Mill ManagerJob Duties: 1. Provide technical assistance to mill operators, millwrights, and lab technicians to maintain or increase mill production levels.2. Maintain a streamlined process of organized chemical inventory by applying metallurgical accounting practices to monitor and control material inventories, ensuring accurate tracking of concentrate storage, ore tanks, ore pads, and other related assets.3. Monitor all employees and contractors to guarantee safe working manners and conditions are in line with all company policies, mine site standard operating procedures and MSHA safety guidelines.4. Coordinate with the Shipping Department by providing regular updates on concentrate inventories and production schedules to allow for efficient outbound concentrate haulage.5. Coordinate with the Accounts Receivable Department to obtain metallurgical data for their preparation of provisional invoices, assay exchange, and negotiation for final invoices.6. Work closely with the Environmental Department to ensure company standards are met with discharge water quality, flow, treatment, and TSF conditions.7. Maintain updated knowledge of industry practices and technological changes related to the zinc mining installation.Job Requirements: Education Requirements: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or closely related. Employer will accept foreign equivalent if in the same field.Experience Requirements: 24 months in job offered, Metallurgist, Process Metallurgist, Junior Process Metallurgist, Engineer In Training (Casual), or closely related.Special skills requirements: 1. Responsible for the day-to-day safe processing plant production, plant improvements, and metallurgical accounting and reporting.2. Troubleshoot problems that occur in the processing units related to chemistry or metallurgy.3. Work closely with production, maintenance, and outside departments to ensure compliance and safe functionality of the operation.4. Direct, train, and evaluate the skills of subordinates as well as providing developmental coaching.5. Occasionally oversee capital and in-plant projects by reviewing all aspects of engineering, forecasting, funding, construction, and commissioning.6. Perform forecasting and budgeting for Process operations.7.
