Trainee Recruiter
Trainee Recruiter (On-Site) - Full Training Provided.
Work on executive searches and if you want grow your own business too. Compensation: Base salary + uncapped commission Year 1 OTE: $70,000 – $90,000+ (typical range; varies by performance) Benefits: Paid time off, professional development assistance.
Company Overview: SGA Talent is a top 250 Recruiting Company partnering with major brands. We are growing our Saratoga Springs, New York office and are looking for motivated individuals to join our trainee recruiter program. You will be trained as an executive recruiter and grow into a full-desk recruitment role, working with both clients and candidates from the first call through final placement.
What You’ll Do:
- Learn from the executive team to include the Chief Executive Officer, President and Managing Directors.
- Build and nurture relationships with hiring managers and candidates.
- Conduct outbound outreach to identify and engage potential candidates.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle: sourcing, screening, presenting candidates, coordinating interviews, and facilitating final placements.
- Maintain accurate candidate and client records in our ATS and CRM.
- Collaborate with team members to develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Meet and exceed weekly and monthly activity and performance targets.
- Provide a positive candidate experience and represent the company professionally.
What You’ll Learn (Training):
- Structured onboarding and hands-on training from top performers.
- Ability to build your own Full-desk recruitment fundamentals: sourcing, interviewing, candidate assessment, client management, and closing placements.
- Option to stay in executive recruiting.
- Focus in industries or functional areas you are strong in and enjoy.
- Sales and business development skills (B2B, outbound prospecting, lead generation).
- How to build a sales-focused, client-centric recruitment process.
- Ongoing coaching, performance reviews, and regular promotions based on results.

Preferred (Not Required):
- Previous recruiting, outbound sales, door-to-door, real estate, automotive, financial services, or telemarketing experience.
- Familiarity with recruiting concepts is a plus but not necessary.
