Digital Marketing Manager
Summary:
Union Square & Co. is seeking a Digital Marketing Manager to elevate our brand presence, drive engagement, grow audiences, and enhance brand visibility across social and digital channels. This role is pivotal to our marketing efforts—from concept to content planning and execution — across social media and digital marketing. This position works with multiple teams, serving as a member of the marketing department, and as a liaison among the various functions that feed into and support company sales and marketing include the design, editorial, publicity, sales, and central marketing teams.
Position Responsibilities:
- Strategize & Execute: Develop and manage comprehensive organic and paid social media plans in collaboration with marketing campaigns across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), TikTok, and YouTube.
- Content Creation: Craft compelling, on-brand content—posts, stories, Reels, short-form videos, imagery, email, and digital ads—collaborating with editorial, design, and authors/ author teams.
- Community Management: Moderate comments and DMs in real-time, foster engagement, liaise with influencers/authors, and uphold outstanding customer interaction.
- Campaign Management: Plan and optimize paid campaigns (Meta, TikTok, Google, display, email) for key titles/events. Track budgets, A/B tests, ROI, CTR, conversion rates.
- Analytics & Optimization: Monitor KPIs (growth, reach, engagement); create monthly reports with insights, optimization recommendations, and executive summaries detailing key performance metrics.
- SEO & Web Alignment: Apply SEO best practices to social and digital written content; partner with web teams to improve landing page performance and digital assets, maximize metadata and keyword research.
- Photo & Visual Assets: Collaborate on photoshoots, produce original photography, motion graphics, video, lifestyle visuals, and create graphic assets with Canva/Adobe Suite.
- Trend & Platform Leadership: Stay ahead of algorithm shifts, platform features, tools, and trends—recommend and test new tactics.
- Collaboration & Administration: Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to execute campaigns; manage freelance contracts, invoicing, and documentation.
Requirements:
- Experience: Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years in social media or digital marketing roles; proven track record driving engagement and managing paid campaigns.
- Platform Proficiency: Deep knowledge of Meta and TikTok ad platforms, Hootsuite, or related tools for Meta/IG business account management.
- Technical Skills: Strong fluency in Canva and Adobe Creative Suite; photography or video experience a plus. SEO and analytics tools (Google Analytics, Sprout, or equivalent).
- Analytical Mindset: Demonstrated ability to analyze data, derive actionable insights, and refine content and campaign strategies to maximize impact.
- Communication & Creative Thinking: Excellent writing/editing skills; strong visual storytelling capabilities; highly detail oriented.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage multi-component initiatives under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, using project management like Asana. Able to execute and improve upon workflow efficiencies.
- Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, collaborative, strategic thinker with authentic enthusiasm for books and storytelling.

The compensation for this position is $70,000-$80,000. Salary can vary based on a number of factors including skills, experience, and location — talk with your recruiter to learn more. There may be times that you will be required (or requested) to work overtime due to the nature of your role or exceptional workload issues or special projects.
