Shift: Day Shift (07:30 AM – 08:00 PM)

Schedule: 34.5 hours/week (3 × 11.5-hour shifts)

Duration: 14 Weeks

Compensation:

• Travel Rate: $2,150 to $2,440/week

Position Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Med/Surg unit in an acute care hospital setting. The RN will provide comprehensive bedside care to adult patients, including pre-operative and post-operative support, medication administration, and coordination with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Deliver direct bedside care to medical-surgical patients
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses
• Perform wound care, dressing changes, and infection control procedures
• Insert IV lines and urinary catheters as required
• Monitor vital signs and promptly report any changes in patient condition
• Operate and adjust specialized medical equipment
• Provide post-operative care and ongoing patient monitoring
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery processes
• Collaborate with healthcare teams for discharge planning
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Adhere to hospital policies, nursing standards, and safety protocols

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience in an acute care hospital (within the last year)
• Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
• Proficiency in medication administration
• Experience in wound care and infection control
• IV therapy skills
• Post-operative care experience
• Excellent patient education and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with EPIC EMR system

Education Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) from an accredited institution

Certifications & Licensure

• Active New York State RN License (Primary Source Verified)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association (AHA) required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA required (as applicable per facility requirements)
