Dental Hygienist
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Dental Hygienist to join our children's dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices and patient care, ensuring a comfortable and effective experience for our patients. This role involves working closely with the dental team to provide high-quality care while adhering to all safety and health regulations. Ideally seeking a hygienist for full time (4 days per week) but those seeking part time will certainly be considered also. Offering a very competitive hourly rate, as well benefits and bonus opportunities. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and oral examinations.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing procedures.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring a positive experience for young patients.
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to assist the dentist during procedures efficiently.
Stay updated on dental terminology and medical coding systems relevant to patient care.
Ensure all instruments and equipment are sterilized and prepared for use.
Qualifications Proven knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and hygiene.
Strong skills in patient care and communication to build rapport with patients.
Familiarity with assisting in various dental procedures is preferred.
Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
Proficient in dental terminology and practices related to pediatric dentistry.
Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques is a plus.
Knowledge of medical coding systems is advantageous but not required.
Must be a licensed Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations.
