Senior Technical Product Manager
Since 2017, Flourish has been on a mission to help financial advisors evolve from holistic advice to holistic implementation to more fully serve their clients and achieve better outcomes. We focus on independent Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs), delivering financial products that advisors can’t easily access today through beautiful, scalable, and easy-to-use technology.
Today, we work with over 1,000 RIAs that collectively represent more than $2.6T in assets under management across two products — Flourish Annuities and Flourish Cash — and with our recent acquisition of Sora Finance, we’ll be adding a lending offering in 2026. Headquartered in New York City, we are an independently-operating, wholly-owned subsidiary of MassMutual Life Insurance Company.

About You
You are a Technical Product Manager with a proven track record of delivering complex software, platform services, and technical integrations from initial concept through to completion. You possess an exceptionally strong understanding of distributed systems and modern software development practices, as well as the ability to define technical trade-offs. You are an exceptional communicator, adept at translating complex technical designs into clear business implications and, conversely, communicating strategic product goals and context directly to engineering teams.
You are eager to work with an exceptional team and you care deeply about your work. In your current role, you are known as a go-to person for critical issues and as a key subject matter expert in multiple areas. You can see both the forest and the trees, and you know when to focus on each. You continuously find ways to contribute to your team and organization beyond the normal boundaries of your role.
About the Role
As a Product Manager at Flourish, you will be responsible for ambitious goals across multiple workstreams. Your focus will be on defining the technical roadmap for our core platform and
infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security for the Flourish Cash, Flourish Annuities, and upcoming lending offerings. You will work in a fluid environment where things change frequently and be expected to adapt to keep your team focused to continually deliver value.
Principal Responsibilities
- Serve as the product authority for your engineering team, defining non-functional requirements (e.g., performance, scalability, security), and driving technical decision-making.
- Define detailed technical product requirements, including API specifications, data models, and integration requirements, while collaborating closely with engineering and architecture teams.
- Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products. Identify and track key performance metrics. Support decision-making through user insights and quantitative analysis.
- Drive efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm.
- Continuously analyze the user impact of our product and determine if product performance is meeting company objectives.
- Proactively report status and identify blockers to product leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
- Technical bachelor’s degree (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent experience building and shipping software
- 5+ years of experience in product management, specifically managing core platform, infrastructure, or developer-facing API products.
- Demonstrated understanding of core software architecture principles, distributed systems, and modern development paradigms.
- Experience owning significant elements of the product development lifecycle such as product discovery, requirement definition, solution scoping, measures of success, and product launch.
- Willingness to participate in all levels of product development, including deep-dive technical discussions, reviewing engineering design documents, and defining high-level, strategic direction.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, UX/UI, marketing, etc.).
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a fast moving team under tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
- Experience analyzing product metrics and/or building tools for analysis.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical counterparties.
- Due to the nature of this position, as part of the background check process, candidates must be able to pass a fingerprint background check to qualify as a fingerprinted person under FINRA. For roles requiring registration, additional regulatory screenings may apply, including a review of Form U5 disclosures and other relevant licensing information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience defining and delivering product milestones across multiple projects and teams.
- Familiarity with basic concepts, trade-offs, and tools for data and statistics.
- Experience in FinTech, InsureTech, WealthTech.
- Ability to influence multiple stakeholders without direct authority.
