Senior Talent Manager

What your experience will be:
You will sit at the intersection of talent acquisition and employee experience, shaping how people enter Slang.ai and how they experience growth, belonging, and momentum once they’re here.
This role lives within the People Operations team, partnering closely with Hiring Managers, Leadership, and cross-functional teams. You will report to the Head of People, a builder who has scaled People functions through multiple growth stages and believes deeply in People Programs as business infrastructure—not support functions.
This role does not manage direct reports. It is a hybrid, adaptive role designed to flex with hiring volume:
- During periods of high hiring, your focus will lean heavily into recruiting execution and hiring excellence.
- During slower hiring cycles, you will shift your center of gravity toward employee experience, onboarding, engagement programs, and manager enablement.
This role is based in a hybrid environment, using collaborative tools such as Slack, Google Workspace, ATS systems, and People platforms to stay tightly aligned and move with speed.

What success looks like:
When Hiring Volume Is High
- Own full-cycle recruiting for assigned roles, from intake through close
- Partner with Hiring Managers to design thoughtful, structured interview plans
- Ensure a high-quality, human candidate experience aligned with Slang.ai’s values
- Maintain clean pipelines, clear communication, and strong offer-close rates
- Act as a trusted advisor to managers on hiring decisions and talent trade-offs
- Represent the employer brand with the highest representation and commitment to our Slang’s values
When Hiring Volume Is Lower
- Lead or support onboarding programs that accelerate connection and clarity
- Improve employee experience touch-points across the lifecycle (new hire → growth)
- Support engagement initiatives, feedback loops, and manager enablement efforts
- Partner with People Ops on performance cycles, rituals, and culture programs
- Identify friction points in the employee experience and help design solutions

What you will bring:
- 3–6 years of experience in recruiting, People Operations, or a hybrid People role
- Experience owning full-cycle recruiting in a fast-moving environment
- Strong judgment, organization, and follow-through
- Comfort flexing between execution and programmatic thinking
- High emotional intelligence and the ability to navigate nuanced conversations
- A hospitality mindset: you care deeply about how people experience moments that matter
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Curiosity, adaptability, and a bias toward action

Compensation & Location
Compensation for this role is location-based and benchmarked against local market data aligned to the employee’s primary work location. Total compensation includes a mix of cash and equity and may vary by location, role level, and experience. Our range is therefore wide and not meant as a negotiation range.
