Job Title: RN – Wound Care
Location: New York, NY
Type: Contract
Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $75 - $80/hr (Based on Experience)

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an RN – Wound Care for an exciting Contract opportunity in New York, NY.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate wound care treatments for patients with acute, chronic, and complex wounds.

• Perform comprehensive wound assessments and develop individualized wound care plans.

• Provide advanced wound care treatments, including dressing changes, debridement assistance, negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT), and infection prevention measures.

• Monitor wound healing progress and update treatment plans as appropriate.

• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.

• Educate patients and families on wound management, pressure injury prevention, and skin care techniques.

• Ensure compliance with infection control standards, patient safety protocols, and evidence-based wound care practices.

• Maintain accurate documentation in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to wound healing and patient safety.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse License required.

• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience required.

• Familiarity with EMR systems required.

• Strong knowledge of wound assessment, dressing selection, infection control, and evidence-based wound care practices.

• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, communication, and patient education skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Current BLS Certification required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required per facility guidelines.

• Prior experience in wound care, Medical-Surgical, or surgical nursing preferred.

• Wound Care Certification (WCC, CWCN, or equivalent) preferred or required.

• ACLS Certification preferred in hospital settings.
