Dispatcher

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Dispatcher to manage daily routing and dispatch operations for our trucking fleet. The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of NYC, five boroughs and Long Island, understands DOT compliance requirements, and is comfortable working with TMS or routing software in a fast-paced transportation environment. Responsibilities

• Plan, optimize, and execute daily delivery and pickup routes for company drivers
• Leverage detailed knowledge of NYC’s five boroughs and Long Island, including:
  • Bridge and tunnel restrictions
  • Truck routes and weight/height limitations
  • Residential vs. commercial delivery zones
  • Traffic patterns and congestion areas
• Ensure all routes comply with DOT regulations, hours-of-service rules, and company policies
• Communicate route assignments, changes, and updates clearly to drivers
• Monitor driver progress and make real-time routing adjustments as needed
• Use TMS and/or routing software to manage dispatch operations, tracking, and reporting
• Maintain accurate dispatch records, delivery logs, and compliance documentation
• Coordinate with customers, drivers, and internal teams to resolve scheduling or delivery issues
• Respond to unexpected delays, breakdowns, or service disruptions efficiently
