Boat Dock Supervisor

This is a seasonal position (although perhaps there are other areas you can help us through other seasons).
The Dock Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the boat rental dock, including managing dock workers, interacting with customers, and refueling boats. The Dock Supervisor must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and must be willing, able to roll up the sleeves and handle, resolve issues and have an entrepreneurial mind and excellent customer service skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage dock workers and set their schedules
- Interact with customers and help them rent boats
- Refuel boats
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Assist in marketing efforts by promoting the boat rental business through various channels, such as distributing promotional materials, engaging with local tourism organizations, and contributing to the development of marketing strategies to attract new customers and increase business visibility.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the dock area, including regular inspections and upkeep of equipment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in a customer service or boating-related field
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Physical Demands:
The Dock Supervisor must be able to:
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Stand for long periods of time
- Bend, stoop, and reach
- Work in a variety of weather conditions
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
