Shift: Night Shift | 3x12s | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced ECMO Specialist Registered Nurse for a high-acuity critical care assignment in Greenville, SC. The ideal candidate will have both adult and pediatric ECMO experience and be comfortable working in CVICU and PICU environments managing patients requiring extracorporeal membrane oxygenation support.
Responsibilities
- Manage ECMO devices and support critically ill adult and pediatric patients
- Work collaboratively with ICU RNs, Respiratory Therapists, and provider teams
- Monitor and manage ECMO circuits and equipment
- Assist during bedside ECMO cannulation and cannula repositioning procedures
- Follow ECMO order sets and critical care protocols
- Provide care for patients with:
- Post-cardiac surgery complications
- Cardiogenic shock
- Traumatic injuries
- ARDS/respiratory failure
- Sepsis and other acute critical illnesses
- Accurately document patient care in EPIC EMR
Required Experience & Skills
- ECMO Specialist experience required
- Adult and Pediatric critical care experience required
- Minimum 1 year of EPIC experience required
- Experience with:
- ECMO device management
- CVICU and PICU patient care
- High-acuity ICU environments
- Completion of ECMO specialty device course and required continuing education
Required Certifications
- Active South Carolina RN License
- ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
Equipment Experience
- Cardiohelp ECMO Console
- Centrimag ECMO Console
- Cardio Quip Heater-Cooler Unit
- Glucometer/Point-of-Care Testing Equipment
