Job Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Registered Dietitian (RD) to provide clinical nutrition services in an acute care inpatient setting. The Dietitian will be responsible for assessing patients’ nutritional needs, developing care plans, and delivering medical nutrition therapy to support optimal health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for inpatient populations
- Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans
- Provide medical nutrition therapy (MNT) based on patient diagnoses and conditions
- Monitor patient progress and adjust nutrition plans accordingly
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
- Educate patients and families on dietary plans and nutrition management
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system
Work Schedule & Details:
- Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
- Orientation:
- 8 hours non-billable
- 8 hours at 70% billable
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field ( Required )
- Completion of an ACEND-accredited dietetics program ( Required )
- Registered Dietitian (RD) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration ( Required )
- Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (CDN) – State licensure ( Required )
- Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy ( Required )
- Experience in an acute care inpatient setting ( Required )
