Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for a school year contract in a K-12 public school district located in Auburn, NY. This role involves providing comprehensive speech-language therapy services across a diverse caseload with itinerant and paid travel responsibilities. The position offers indirect hours for administrative tasks and paid team meetings, supporting a balanced workload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language services to students in grades K-12, addressing varied communication needs within the school setting.
- Manage caseload in compliance with the districts cap and participate in IEP development and implementation.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to support student progress and therapy goals.
- Utilize district-approved systems and protocols for documentation and reporting.
- Participate in paid team meetings and utilize designated therapy spaces within the district.
- Provide itinerant services across assigned schools, ensuring continuity of care.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid New York State license in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Credentials such as CCC-SLP strongly preferred.
- Experience in pediatric speech therapy within educational settings.
- Familiarity with teletherapy methods (although virtual services are not offered currently).
- Skilled in managing K-12 caseloads and knowledgeable about school-based therapy protocols.
- Ability to work independently while adhering to district guidelines.
