Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in a critical care setting License: New York license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - NY license in hand - EPIC charting experience Description: The position requires a Registered Nurse specialized in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). The shift schedule is 4 nights per week from 19:00 to 07:30. The nurse will care for patients with conditions such as sepsis, ARDS, renal failure, heart failure, and more. The patient-to-nurse ratio will generally be 1:2, with occasional 1:1 based on patient acuity. Experience in managing patients with multi-system organ dysfunction/failure is essential. Nurses will be responsible for arterial line management, central line care, and continuous IV sedation. Knowledge of interpreting dysrhythmias, ABGs, and operating BiPAP/CPAP is necessary. The unit has interdisciplinary support, including IV teams, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Candidates must be prepared to float as needed within the unit. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. First-time travelers are accepted for this position. About Cynet Health
