Lead Business Analyst
QXO is the fastest growing publicly traded distributor of building products in North America. The company is executing its strategy to become the tech-enabled leader in the $800 billion building products distribution industry and generate outsized value for its shareholders. QXO expects to achieve its target of $50 billion in annual revenues within the next decade through accretive acquisitions and organic growth.
What you'll do:- Lead and oversee analytics initiatives across Sales and Marketing, helping teams answer complex business questions and identify growth opportunities.
- Manage and mentor a team of Business Analysts, providing guidance on analytical approaches, prioritization, and professional development.
- Design and deliver scalable reporting solutions (weekly, monthly, quarterly), ensuring consistency, automation, and business relevance.
- Establish and govern reporting standards, KPI frameworks, and data definitions to ensure alignment and clarity across the organization.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to translate business needs into structured analytical approaches, actionable insights, and strategic recommendations.
- Drive data quality standards and oversight, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability across reporting and analysis.
- Lead advanced analytical efforts, including statistical analysis and modeling, to support strategic initiatives and program scalability.
- Translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives that influence decision-making at leadership levels.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Technology teams to ensure alignment and adoption of insights.
- Leverage and guide usage of tools such as SQL, Python, Looker, and BigQuery to enhance analytical capabilities.
- Contribute to building a high-performing analytics function by establishing best practices, improving processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Operate as a strategic thought partner, balancing hands-on execution with leadership and long-term capability building.
- 10+ years of experience in analytics, business analysis, or related roles.
- 3–5 years of experience leading or mentoring Business Analysts or analytics teams.
- Strong technical foundation, including advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with Python.
- Experience with Looker strongly preferred; familiarity with BigQuery is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex analytical projects and influence senior stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect data insights to strategic outcomes.
- Proven ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and executive-level storytelling.
- Experience establishing reporting frameworks, KPIs, and data governance standards.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across functions and levels.
- Experience working with business data environments; Salesforce experience is a plus.
- Solid understanding of statistics and quantitative methods applied in business contexts.
