QA Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for a creative, data-centric Quality Assurance Engineer who goes beyond simple UI testing. You aren’t just checking if a button works—you are validating the data engines that power our Life Insurance and Annuity products.

You will use modern AI tools (such as Cursor and Claude ) to write test scripts more efficiently and leverage frameworks like Playwright to ensure complex configurations are accurate and reliable.

What You’ll Do

Data-Centric Testing

• Create and manage complex data sets to test insurance quoting engines and logic.

• Understand data flow, data maintenance, and how configuration changes impact system output.

AI-Driven Automation

• Use AI coding assistants to write and optimize automated test scripts efficiently.

Test Engineering

• Build and execute automated test scripts using Playwright (primary).

• Contribute toward a future testing state that includes Selenium .

Test Management

• Organize and track testing cycles using Zephyr within the Atlassian/Jira ecosystem.

Problem Solving

• Analyze business problems to understand the “how” and “why.”

• Design tests that proactively uncover system weaknesses before users do.

The Ideal Candidate

Industry Context

• Experience in Life Insurance or Annuities is highly preferred.

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency with Playwright and Zephyr .

• Familiarity with Selenium is a strong plus.

AI Native

• Comfortable using AI tools (e.g., Claude , Cursor ) to accelerate coding and problem-solving.

Data Skills

• Solid understanding of SQL / SOQL to query data and validate backend logic.

Communication

• Native-level English proficiency to collaborate effectively in a high-touch, in-person environment.
