Content Creator & Videographer — Fine Jewelry Brand (Freelance / Project-Based)

About Brooklyn Jewelers: Brooklyn Jewelers is a fine jewelry brand based in Manhattan with over 30 years of history. We design and manufacture custom pieces in gold and platinum, and we're expanding our digital presence to bring our craftsmanship and story to a wider audience.

Role Overview: We're looking for a creative, self-driven content creator who can take our brand from raw idea to finished post. This isn't just a "shoot and edit" role. We want someone who can help map out what we're posting, conduct street-style interviews, shoot and edit short-form video, handle photography and design work, repurpose our existing assets into fresh content, and help us tell the stories behind our pieces (like why platinum vs. 14k gold, the meaning behind a custom design, the craft behind a piece). You'll work directly with our founder and play a real role in shaping how the brand shows up online.

This is a fine jewelry brand. Our work needs to feel premium — clean lighting, considered framing, polished editing. If your portfolio is mostly casual or low-end content, this isn't the right fit.

• We're looking for someone who has done this work before and can hit the ground running.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct and film street-style interviews around NYC
• Shoot product photography and video, both on location and in our office
• Edit short-form video for Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms
• Handle photo editing and design work
• Help map out and plan our content calendar
• Take existing brand assets and build new content from them
• Work with our 3D renders to create additional content (animations, stylized edits, social posts)
• Develop and execute storytelling pieces (e.g., "Why platinum?", behind-the-scenes craftsmanship, custom design stories)
• Collaborate with our team on creative direction and brand voice

Tools & Skills (familiarity with most of these):

• Video editing: Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or Descript
• Photo editing: Photoshop, Lightroom
• Design: Canva, Figma, or Adobe Illustrator a plus
• Familiarity with Instagram Reels, TikTok, and short-form trends
• Bonus: experience working with 3D renders or CGI assets, and AI-powered creative tools (Adobe Firefly, Runway, etc.)

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience in content creation, videography, and editing
• Experience shooting luxury goods strongly preferred
• Strong eye for aesthetic and storytelling, with a premium sensibility
• Full-stack content skills: shooting, editing, photography, videography, design
• Comfortable shooting on location in NYC and approaching strangers for street interviews
• Local to the NYC area and able to come on-site as needed
• Self-starter who can take a loose idea and run with it
