Overview Publicis Sport, the sports marketing division within Publicis Media. This position requires a highly motivated person to lead the day-to-day execution of across client Sports initiatives. The Vice President, Sports Investment will be responsible for activating Sports strategic plan development and all aspects of implementation. Responsibilities- Lead planning and implementation for client across Sports holistic initiatives (Video, Digital, Integrated programs)
- Plays a leading role in all aspects of campaign management including vendor liaison and reporting
- Training/Support for Assistant Planners in billing, reporting, trafficking, analytics and research
- Assist in presentation of data, insights and media to clients
- Intimate knowledge of Sports landscape & touchpoints across channels magazine, digital mobile, social, video
- Craft knowledgeable and relevant POVs that assess media opportunities and place appropriate value
- Draw actionable insights based off syndicated data, Nielsen, Comscore, Strategy, TNS, adrelevance and Quantcast
- Senior-level relationships/contacts across key sports players
- Build relationships with vendors to analyze value and applicability of media vehicles for client media plan
- Create dynamic presentations that effectively communicate to our clients
- Continuously search for opportunities to be positive and to share the positive side to every situation
- Negotiate rates, placements, & added value with sports partners, inclusive of multi-yar deals
- Collaborate with internal strategy, investment, and creative teams to align buys with broader marketing objectives.
- Track budgets, flighting, and campaign performance, ensuring all placements run accurately and efficiently
- B.A. or B.S. in Marketing, Advertising or related field
- 10+ years of digital media buying/planning experience
- Experience planning tactical campaigns & ability to confidently present to clients both on the phone and in-person
- Must have excellent verbal/written communication skills, interpersonal skills, detail-orientation, follow-though skills
- Must have strong analytical, research, and quantitative skills
- Must have intimate knowledge of Sports landscape, inclusive of both leagues and networks
- Must be hard-working, resourceful and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, formulas, v-lookup, conditional formats, pivot tables, etc.
- Must possess/develop a strong understanding of the technology marketplace including awareness of key publishers, products and trends
- Experience with Prisma and DCM preferred
- Experience with Research tools such as Nielsen, Comscore preferred
