CNC Supervisor

We are seeking a motivated, hands-on CNC Supervisor to lead our machining department while actively supporting daily production. This is not a desk-only supervisory role—the ideal candidate will spend time on the shop floor assisting with machine setups, troubleshooting production issues, and operating equipment as needed to keep production running efficiently. The successful candidate will have strong experience with Mori Seiki CNC lathes and CNC milling machines, along with proven leadership and problem-solving skills.

salary: $95,000 - $140,000 per year

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of CNC machinists and machine operators.
• Lead by example by working alongside the team to set up machines, perform first-piece inspections, and assist with production as needed.
• Program adjustments, troubleshoot machining issues, and optimize cycle times.
• Set up and operate Mori Seiki CNC lathes and CNC milling machines.
• Ensure production schedules, quality standards, and delivery deadlines are met.
• Train, mentor, and develop machinists on proper setup, machining techniques, and safety procedures.
• Verify tooling, fixtures, and machine readiness before production runs.
• Review blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate machining.
• Perform first article inspections and verify part quality using precision measuring instruments.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and communicate equipment issues with the maintenance team.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, reduce scrap, and improve efficiency.
