Manufacturing Specialist

Schedule: M-F 7am-3:30pm Position Purpose: This position involves handling, inspecting, and cutting optical glass materials to specific dimensions and shapes, ensuring accuracy and quality, and operating machinery for precision glass cutting.
- Provides our customers with outstanding value, service and product quality.
- Safely handle and store raw materials, including optical glass blanks, lenses, and other optical elements.
- Inspect optical glass for defects, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Operate cutting machines to precisely shape and cut optical glass according to specifications. Set up, operate, and maintain cutting machines and equipment.
- Verify the accuracy and quality of cut lenses and optical elements using precision
- Maintain accurate records of production metrics, quality checks, and equipment performance.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with the production team to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
- Troubleshoot minor issues on cutting equipment and perform basic maintenance.
- Knowledge of optical glass materials and their properties.
- Proficiency in operating cutting machines and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with precision instruments and measurement tools.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
