Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An exciting opportunity is available for licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to support a K-12 school district in the Syracuse, NY area for the 2025-2026 school year. This position offers two part-time contract assignments to cover staff leaves, with possible extension or consolidation into a full-year placement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to students across grades K-12, addressing a range of pediatric speech and language needs.
- Conduct individualized evaluations and develop IEP goals and treatment plans in compliance with district guidelines.
- Participate in indirect hours including documentation, progress reporting, and team meetings.
- Collaborate with school staff and families to support student communication and academic success.
- Deliver itinerant therapy services with paid travel between district locations.
- Utilize the districts IEP system, with training provided for ease of documentation and compliance.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology with current NY state licensure.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Experience providing pediatric speech therapy in school settings.
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn district IEP systems.
- Candidates currently enrolled in CFY programs are encouraged to apply.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and educational teams.
Assignment Details:
- Position 1: September 2025 to December 2025
- Position 2: November 2025 to April 2026 (dates tentative)
- Approximately 7.25 hours per day, 36.25 hours per week, full-time schedule
- Interview via Zoom; hiring decisions typically made within 24-48 hours.
