At Carry, we help clients build wealth through smart tax optimization. We started with the Solo 401k for self-employed business owners, and are rapidly adding new products and services across tax, accounting and investing.

About the role:

Our engineering team’s goal is to start and end with the customer in mind. We are looking for a team member who can find a problem and solve both the product and technical challenges. We aim to balance testing new ideas quickly, while also doubling down on what works and building a high quality product. Our team believes in high agency and ownership over what we ship without going overboard on processes and meetings.

We are a team of generalists and are looking for someone who is comfortable building across the stack, working with design and operations to understand product requirements and ship a full feature end to end. While fintech experience isn’t required, having an understanding or enthusiasm to learn complex financial and retirement products is a huge plus.

You will:

• Work in person out of our Brooklyn office in Williamsburg

• Build new investment products ranging from custom in-app financial plans to real time crypto trading, owning everything from building frontend components to database design and everything in between.

• Ability to take a product idea and turn it into a feature complete product for our customers. Including writing PRDs, TDDs, and testing plans.

• Create new portfolio analytics to help users understand their investment performance.

• Help automate manual operations processes to be able to scale our product to thousands of customers.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of full stack engineering experience

• Comfortable with Typescript, Python and working across the stack

• Extensive experience with React and Node.js

• Bonus: Fintech experience
