• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (Travel nursing contract)
• Start Date: September 2, 2025
• End Date: December 2, 2025
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2240–$2300
• Call: 1:6 rotation; must arrive within 20-30 minutes (20 minutes preferred for emergent C-sections)
• Unit: 5 operating rooms, 5 beds
• Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics
• First-time Travelers: Accepted
• Scrub Color: Grey (provided)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Current ACLS certification
• EPIC charting experience (required)
• Ability to participate in call rotation, including weekends, weekdays, and holidays
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
• Ability to float to other units as needed
• Scrub experience is a plus

OR RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care in a dynamic operating room environment
• Assist with surgical specialties: General Surgery, Urology, OB/GYN, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Pain Management, and Podiatry
• Participate in call rotation and respond promptly to emergent surgical cases
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Radiology
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC electronic health records
• Support and educate patients and families throughout the perioperative process
• Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and infection control standards
