OLED Manufacturing Technician
Job Summary:The OLED Manufacturing Technician is responsible for the set-up, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of machines and equipment used in manufacturing, R&D, pilot, test and production materials at both intermediate and finished good levels. The technician monitors quality, fabricates & tests devices, collects and analyzes pertinent data, trains operators and fellow technicians and reports/responds to manufacturing variances (e.g. needed adjustments, breakdowns, etc.) with appropriate actions to ensure customer satisfaction.Essential Functions:The OLED Manufacturing Technician is responsible for various aspects of Manufacturing including but not limited to: Operation of equipment, testing of materials and product, establishing new/modified equipment run parameters, assisting with equipment installation/validation/maintenance as well as continuous improvement of processes and procedures. Advancement within levels will not take place unless the incumbent meets the minimum requirements, and demonstrates the skills and knowledge listed. There may be exceptions based on management discretion where additional skills or experience that are not listed here are documented and then taken into consideration. The requirements for each level are outlined below:OLED Manufacturing Technician I:
- Ability to operate pre-deposition equipment / functions. This includes equipment used to clean, measure, and prepare materials.
- Ability to prepare materials and operate R&D coaters.
- Ability to set up and complete at least one (1) post deposition (backend) process.
- Ability to perform some basic routine facilities and/or equipment preventative maintenance tasks & may assist in breakdown maintenance of equipment.
- A general understanding and application of continuous improvement methodology (e.g. 5S, Visual Factory, waste reduction, root cause analysis, Kaizen events).
- May perform tasks supporting Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory Management.
- Other duties as assigned by management.OLED Manufacturing Technician II:1\. Meets the requirements of an OLED Manufacturing Technician I.2\. Ability to train others on equipment and processes (Note: does not confirm training effectiveness).3\. Ability to write procedures & create training materials.4\. Ability to perform standard maintenance/troubleshooting on Research Coaters.5\. Ability to set up and complete at least two (2) post deposition (backend) processes.6\. Ability to perform most basic routine preventative maintenance tasks & assist in breakdown maintenance of facilities & manufacturing/test equipment.7\. Ability to complete at least two (2) entire types of standard testing.8\. May perform data analysis and reporting for the operations trained in.9\. May propose/fabricate/design fixtures or process improvements.OLED Manufacturing Technician III:1\. Meets the requirements of an OLED Manufacturing Technician II2\. Ability to prepare materials for and operate Production CoaterORAbility to perform most testing, fabrication, and maintenance responsibilities at a high level. 3\. Ability to create procedures, and train others on equipment & processes, and validating training effectiveness.OLED Manufacturing Technician IV:
- Meets the requirements of an OLED Manufacturing Technician III.
- Ability to perform all preventative maintenance of the Production coater & supporting equipment, and support breakdown maintenance activities.
- May need to perform roles and responsibilities of a Team leader.Education & Experience:High School diploma with and/or strong interest in chemical process and mechanical engineering required. OLED Manufacturing Technician I:
- Experience with OLEDs, semiconductors preferred
