If you’ve spent the last decade building a strong legal foundation in energy, infrastructure, or renewable project development, and you’re ready to take that next big step into the top legal seat, Plan B Climatech has a role for you! We’re searching for a business-savvy legal mind to lead all things legal and regulatory for a growing renewable energy developer. You’ll be working hand-in-hand with senior leadership, guiding strategy while rolling up your sleeves on contracts, compliance, and transactions. Why this is the perfect “step-up” role: You’re not yet a General Counsel, but you’ve had exposure to many facets of the renewable energy industry, from development and permitting to financing and M&A. You want the autonomy to own legal decisions without getting lost in a giant corporate machine. You’re excited by a role that blends strategic thinking with hands-on legal execution. What you’ll be doing: Leading legal and regulatory oversight across development, construction, financing, and operations. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts - from PPAs to EPC/O&M agreements and everything in between. Guiding M&A, project finance, and equity/debt transactions. Advising on compliance with federal, state, and local energy regulations. Managing external counsel relationships and budgets. What you’ll bring: Around 10 years’ experience in commercial contracts and regulatory compliance within energy or infrastructure. Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills. A broad understanding of construction, financing (including tax equity), and M&A.
