Welder Trainee
A manufacturing company is looking for motivated individuals to join their team as Welder Trainees. salary: $17 - $17.5 per hourshift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 4:30 PM
education: High School Responsibilities
- Learn and perform basic stick welding (SMAW) techniques under supervision
- Assist with fitting, positioning, and securing metal parts before welding
- Read and follow welding drawings, blueprints, and job specifications
- Prepare materials by grinding, cutting, cleaning, and measuring metal components
- Operate welding machines, grinders, and hand tools safely
- Inspect welds for quality, alignment, and structural integrity
- Maintain welding equipment and report maintenance needs
- Follow all OSHA and workplace safety procedures
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Support fabrication and production teams with daily tasks
