Founding Account Manager
About the Role
This is a rare founding-team opportunity to build and lead the Account Management function from the ground up at a fast-growing, early-stage fintech infrastructure company. As the first Account Manager hire , you will own the full post-sale lifecycle — from onboarding and integration through revenue ramp, upsell, and product launches — for a growing portfolio of US bank and global fintech customers.
You'll report directly to the Head of Growth and work closely with product, engineering, operations, and compliance teams. This role has direct, measurable impact on live revenue and shapes how the company scales its customer relationships for years to come. Visa sponsorship is available.
What You'll Do
Define and build the Account Management function from scratch — processes, KPIs, success metrics, and tooling.
Lead end-to-end customer onboarding and integrations post-contract signature, coordinating across product, operations, compliance, and engineering.
Own day-to-day relationships with enterprise and institutional customers to accelerate revenue ramp, surface product feedback, and prevent churn.
Design and execute upsell strategies; coordinate new product launches with cross-functional teams.
Manage complex, senior stakeholder scenarios including C-suite executives, founders, and shareholders.
Build automation and repeatable systems to minimize manual work and increase scalability across onboarding and account management workflows.
Translate customer insights into actionable product feedback to directly influence roadmap prioritization.
Travel globally as needed across the US, Europe, APAC, and LATAM to support customer relationships and commercial activities.
What We're Looking For
Dealbreakers (must have at least one):
Experience as a Consultant, Chief of Staff, or Founder's Associate at a fast-paced startup.
Experience building or scaling a B2B Account Management, Customer Success, or Implementation function from the ground up.
Required:
Proven track record in a GTM, Account Management, or Customer Success role managing post-sale onboarding and integration across product, operations, and compliance stakeholders.
Ability to define and implement a full Account Management playbook with KPIs and success metrics to scale revenue and reduce churn.
Experience managing relationships with C-suite executives, founders, or shareholders in a commercial context.
Track record of driving B2B customer revenue ramp and surfacing actionable product feedback in enterprise or financial services environments.
Experience working with financial products — banking, payments, fintech infrastructure, or similar.
Systems-first mindset with hands-on experience designing automation and tooling to reduce manual processes.
Comfortable making high-quality decisions under pressure and in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
Based in NYC or Berlin, or willing to relocate; comfortable with global travel.
Nice to Have:
Experience with stablecoins, digital assets, or crypto-native clearing and settlement infrastructure.
Prior exposure to a founding team or early-stage startup environment.
Experience working directly with product and engineering teams to translate customer needs into roadmap priorities.
Familiarity with CRM and customer success platforms for managing enterprise implementations and account health.
Background in regulated banking environments or compliance-heavy onboarding workflows.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $150,000 – $230,000 USD annually, depending on experience.
Visa sponsorship available.
Early-stage equity participation as a founding team member.
Location
This is an on-site role based in New York City, NY . Candidates based in Berlin or willing to relocate to NYC are also considered. The role requires comfort with global travel (US, Europe, APAC, LATAM).
