Senior Account Manager - Energy & Materials

The Account Manager serves as a trusted advisor to clients within the Energy & Materials sector, including oil & gas, utilities, mining, chemicals, and related industries. This role is responsible for managing and expanding relationships with existing clients, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering tailored solutions leveraging S&P data, analytics, and workflow tools.
The Team:
The Account Management team is dedicated to building, growing, and managing strategic relationships with clients across the Energy & Materials sectors.
Our Account Managers leverage internal and external relationships, industry expertise, and a client-centric approach to drive engagement, maximize value, and support their evolving needs.
Responsibilities and Impact:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at client organizations.

Understand client business needs and provide consultative guidance on the Market Intelligence suite of solutions.

Drive revenue growth through renewals, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities.

Collaborate with internal teams (product, marketing, customer support) to ensure client satisfaction and successful onboarding.

Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to provide actionable insights.

Deliver product demonstrations, training, and presentations to clients.
Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is
$85,773 to $117,178. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What We Are Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.

Proven experience in account management or sales within the Energy & Materials industry.

Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Familiarity with S&P Global Market Intelligence products is a plus.
