Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our state-of-the-art Neuro Medicine Intensive Care Unit (ICU). In this role, you will provide specialized nursing care for critically ill patients with complex neurological conditions. Our ICU primarily treats patients with traumatic brain injuries, aneurysms, status epilepticus, strokes, and other critical neurologic pathologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill neuro patients in a 12-bed intensive care setting.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing necessary nursing interventions and therapies.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate advanced critical thinking skills to make timely decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Stay updated on the latest critical care practices and technological advancements in neurology nursing.
• Maintain comprehensive patient records and documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN License in New York (NY License ONLY).
• Minimum of two (2) years of acute care RN experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
• Strong telemetry experience is required.
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association.
• Essential skills include effective communication, strong organization, and critical thinking abilities.

Work Schedule:

• Flexible 3x12 hour shifts, including day, evening, and night rotations.
• Availability for holidays, on-call, callback, and charge duties as needed.

Guaranteed Hours: 117 Contract Weeks.
