SWE - Senior AI Software Engineer

Our client, a growing AI organization, is hiring a Senior AI Software Engineer to join thier team in New York. The successful candidate will help design, develop and scale their next-generation AI SaaS platform for Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and SMBs, building production-ready systems while exploring emerging AI technologies, frameworks and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, sales, marketing and customer success to scope, prototype and launch new product features.

• Design, develop and support scalable frontend and backend solutions that power their AI platform.

• Deliver responsive, user-friendly experiences across web and mobile environments.

• Build clean, maintainable abstractions and integrations within a highly connected technical ecosystem.

• Improve system performance, scalability and overall reliability of applications and services.

• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across development and production environments.

• Contribute to peer code reviews and help uphold engineering standards and best practices.

• Keep up to date with evolving technologies, frameworks and trends across AI and modern software development.

Skillset

• Demonstrated experience as a Full Stack or Software Engineer, with a strong track record of building and delivering web applications.

• Proficiency in React, TypeScript, and backend/server-side development technologies.

• Hands-on experience integrating and working with RESTful APIs and asynchronous workflows.

• Good understanding of Git and contemporary version control practices.

• Exposure to generative AI technologies, including AI APIs, embeddings, streaming responses, and tool calling, is a plus.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with close attention to detail.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work autonomously and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
