BI Developer/Specialist

Location: NYC/NJ - Full remote (East Coast US Only) - travel onsite 1X/Quarter (3 days onsite)

Experience: 5-8 years of BI Development experience

Pay Rate: $50-55

Job Description:

Analyze and translate business requirements into scalable Business Intelligence solutions. Design and develop data models, Power BI dashboards, and reporting layers that convert raw data into actionable insights and measurable KPIs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather, study, and translate business requirements into technical specifications and BI deliverables

• Design, build, and map multi-dimensional data models to enable meaningful reporting and insights

• Develop interactive Power BI dashboards and custom visualizations aligned to business objectives and KPIs

• Write and optimize DAX queries, measures, and calculated columns to support reporting logic

• Perform SQL querying to extract, validate, and analyze data for accurate results

• Analyze historical and current data trends to support decision-making and performance improvements

• Review, test, troubleshoot, and refine deployed Power BI reports/scripts for performance and reliability

• Support data warehouse development and reporting architecture enhancements

• Produce strong technical documentation for algorithms, parameters, models, and reporting logic

• Recommend and implement technical/strategic improvements to existing BI systems and processes

• Define and design new BI reporting systems as business needs evolve

Tech Environment:

Power BI (DAX, Paginated), Snowflake, SQL Server, PBRS, Power On, Data Warehousing, Semantic Model/Cube tooling

Qualifications:

• 5-8 years BI / data warehousing / analytics / reporting systems experience
• Strong SQL skills (Snowflake + SQL Server) with query optimization
• DAX & SQL
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and end-to-end delivery skills
• Bachelors degree in CS/IS/CE (or equivalent experience)
