You will provide technical leadership while remaining hands-on: design, build, test, and deploy scalable front-end UIs, high-performance backend services, and APIs; translate quant and portfolio-manager requirements into technical designs; collaborate with engineering, quant teams, and portfolio managers to define scope and priorities; own delivery, production reliability, and incident response; and mentor peers.
Required Experience
- Strong Python proficiency, advanced SQL for complex data analysis, 10+ years of software engineering experience delivering production systems, and experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
- Familiarity with quantitative workflows or direct experience working with quant teams is required.
- Preferred: distributed systems or large-scale data processing, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD. Front-end JavaScript experience is a plus.
- The role requires clear communication, results orientation, and willingness to take on multiple roles to deliver solutions under time pressure.
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related technical field.
- 10+ years of hands-on software development experience.
- Strong Python Proficiency is essential.
- Strong Pandas and SQL proficiency is essential.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, large scale data processing, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) a plus.
- Front end development experience a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS) is a plus.
Salary Range: $ 175,000.00 - $ 240,000.00
