JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX News Digital is looking for a full-time Digital Production Assistant to join the Lifestyle team! You will have the opportunity to be part of a team that writes, produces, and optimizes organic news content for FoxNews.com and FoxBusiness.com, as well as produces original video. You will need to be a fast, accurate writer and researcher with a broad range of interests in lifestyle topic areas, including Travel, Food & Health, as well as an interest in working on videos, social media and ChatGPT/AI.

You will be offered one of the following shifts:

Sunday-Thursday - 9:00 AM ET-5:00 PM ET OR 8:00 AM ET-4:00 PM ET

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Research, write, and produce multiple assigned short articles a day in lifestyle and health topic areas in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Create and produce a regular flow of assigned video content in lifestyle and health topic areas.

• Select and add multimedia features to articles (video, images, slideshows, quizzes).

• Adhere to specific article structure, requirements and word counts.

• Produce compelling photo splits and thumb images.

• Incorporate edits from supervisors and work closely with other team members.

• Embrace and support team’s social media work, plus ChatGPT and AI initiatives.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• One year working in a news environment

• A track record of great writing, preferably involving reporting and research (clips/portfolio expected)

• Ability to work under deadline pressures

• A wide range of interests and deep knowledge of news and lifestyle

• Willingness and ability to work some nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

• Ability to work one weekend day

• Experience with SEO, Social Media and ChatGPT is a plus

• Experience working in a CMS (WordPress preferred)

• Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro experience preferred

• A Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience

• Strong team play and an "all-in" mentality
