Job Title: Radiation Therapist
Location: New York, NY 10065
Duration: 3 Months (Approx. 14 Weeks)
Shift: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (includes a 60-minute break)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiation Therapist to join a dynamic healthcare team for a temporary assignment. The Radiation Therapist will be responsible for delivering prescribed radiation therapy treatments to patients, ensuring accuracy, safety, and compassionate care throughout the process.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments to patients in accordance with physician directives and established protocols.

• Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment to ensure safe and precise delivery of treatment.

• Verify patient identification and treatment parameters before each session.

• Monitor patient reactions and conditions during treatment, reporting any unusual responses to the radiation oncologist or nursing staff.

• Maintain accurate and detailed treatment records in the department’s information system.

• Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, medical physicists, and nursing staff to provide coordinated and effective patient care.

• Adhere to all safety, quality assurance, and radiation protection standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved Radiation Therapy Technology program required.

• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required.

• New York State Radiologic Technologist License , limited to the practice of Radiotherapy, required.

• ASRT (American Society of Radiologic Technologists) membership preferred.

• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and commitment to patient safety.

Experience

• Previous clinical experience in radiation therapy preferred.

• Experience with modern linear accelerators and treatment planning systems is a plus.
