The Youth Care Worker (YCW) is responsible for the oversightand safety of children or adolescents in a variety of secure setting caresettings. The Youth Care Worker willinteract with the youth in a positive manner while assisting them with dailyactivities and implementing treatment plans.

The Youth Care Worker will display a professional and caringattitude and will encourage positive behaviors through effective communication,decision-making, and problem-solving. The Youth Care Worker will respond to emergencies and assist in theredirection of youth when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate's Degree in social sciences, counseling,behavioral sciences, human services, criminal justice, education, or childdevelopment preferred

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in the care, custody, orpersonal guidance of youth

• Bilingual or multilingual may be preferred in somesettings

• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
