Job Title: IMCU / PCU Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: New York (Local candidates within 75 miles accepted)
Job Type: Contract

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced IMCU/PCU Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-acuity unit. This role is ideal for nurses with strong critical care skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Schedule:

• Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (Night Shift)

• Block scheduling is not guaranteed

• Floating required

Unit Details:

• Unit: IMCU (Intermediate Care Unit)

• 64 beds (15 designated Neuro beds)

• Patient Population: Adults (18+)

Common Diagnoses:

• Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, Respiratory cases

• COPD, DKA, Sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, post-op patients

Specialty Equipment:

• Temporary pacemakers, chest tubes, arterial lines

• BiPAP, Neptune Vapo

• Ventilators (chronic vents; respiratory therapy support available)

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality patient care in IMCU/PCU setting

• Monitor and assess critically ill patients

• Administer medications and treatments

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR

Submission Requirements:

• Minimum 2+ years of IMCU/PCU experience (travel experience required)

• Updated resume with relevant experience

• 2 recent IMCU Charge/Manager RN references

• Skills checklist (matching specialty)

• Valid driver’s license (address must match demographics)

• Certifications:

  • AHA BLS

  • ACLS

  • NIHSS

  • Critical Care Course / ECCO (ACCN)

• NURSYS report with active NY RN license and all RN licenses

• RTO (Requested Time Off) must be included at time of submission

• EMR experience required: EPIC
