Data Analyst, Performance & Strategic Analytics
We're looking for a Sales Analyst to join our team at Squarespace. You will be the go-to data expert for our Sales Development and Customer Success teams. You'll partner with these teams to uncover main insights that directly inform how we attract and support our customers. You'll translate broad business questions into clear data explorations, turning complex findings into simple, relevant recommendations for non-technical partners. You will report to the Manager, Performance & Strategic Analytics in our New York headquarters.
This is a hybrid 3 day in the office position.
You'll Get To…
- Partner with the Sales team to establish goals, define metrics and measurements, and develop dashboards and reporting for monitoring performance.
- Partner with different Analytics, Product, and other relevant teams to combine insight and translate into data-driven methods to help identify new leads for our Sales team.
- Translate broad questions into plans for research and discovery, perform data exploration, and create narratives from data insights for non-technical team members that cater to clear storytelling and applicable recommendations
- Create all the technical implementations and documentation associated with the dashboards and work toward 100% accuracy
Who We're Looking For
- 2+ years of work experience in process execution, business intelligence, dashboarding, reporting, or data analysis
- 2+ years of experience manipulating large datasets using SQL and DBT
- 1+ years of experience with Looker, Amplitude, Hex, Tableau, and comparable data visualization tools
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline: computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, operations research, engineering, economics, or similar is a good to have
- Passion for getting deep into the weeds with data, to identify and understand edge cases and how to best represent them
- The ability to succeed in ambiguous problem spaces
- Experience building relationships with teammates and helping the team to make decisions at a variety of levels
- Experience in eCommerce and Sales
- Experience with different data science concepts such as clustering and regression
- Python or R experience

Cash Compensation Range: $85,500 - $140,000 USD
The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors.
In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to be granted an option to purchase our common stock.
