Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU / Med-Surg Step-Down Unit - RN#001
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – PCU / Med-Surg Step-Down Unit (MSDU)
Location: Rochester, NY
Compensation: $1,800 - $2,000/week (Negotiable)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 3x12s (36 hrs/week)
Every other weekend required | No block scheduling
Job Overview:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care / Med-Surg Step-Down Unit caring for adult acute patients requiring telemetry and continuous monitoring. Floating may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; respond to dysrhythmias
- Provide direct patient care including assessments, medication administration, and documentation
- Manage IV therapy, including central and arterial lines
- Deliver respiratory support and monitor oxygenation status
- Respond to medical emergencies and rapid response situations
- Implement infection control and isolation precautions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and care instructions
- Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC system
Requirements:
- Active NY RN License
- BLS Certification
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience
- EPIC charting experience
